Celebalike ("we," "us," "our," or "the app") is an entertainment application that uses artificial intelligence to match your facial features with celebrities. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Key Point: All facial processing happens entirely on your device. We never upload, store, or transmit your photos or facial data to any server.

1. Information We Collect

2. How We Process Your Photos

2.1 On-Device Processing

When you take a selfie or select a photo, the following happens entirely on your device:

Your photo is loaded into temporary memory
Our proprietary AI analyzes your facial features
Your features are compared against our celebrity database
The closest matches are displayed
Your photo and analysis data are discarded when you leave the results screen

2.2 No Server Communication

At no point during this process is any data sent to any server. All processing happens locally on your device. No internet connection is required for facial matching.

2.3 Shared Results

If you choose to share your results, a share card image is generated locally on your device. The sharing is handled by iOS's native share sheet. We do not intercept, store, or have access to shared content. Where you share it (Messages, Instagram, etc.) is governed by those platforms' privacy policies.

3. Biometric Data

3.1 Definition

The facial analysis data generated by our AI models constitute biometric data under certain privacy laws (including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, Texas CUBI, and Washington state law).

3.2 Our Handling of Biometric Data

Collection: Facial analysis data is generated on-device only when you actively use the scan feature
Storage: Analysis data exists only in temporary device memory (RAM) and is never written to disk or persistent storage
Retention: All analysis data is automatically destroyed when you close the results screen, switch apps, or close the app
Sharing: Analysis data is never transmitted, shared, sold, or disclosed to any third party
Purpose: Data is used solely for comparing your face against our celebrity database within the same session
Destruction: No manual deletion is necessary as data is automatically purged from memory

3.3 Consent

By using the camera or photo selection feature of the app, you consent to the temporary on-device processing of your facial data as described above. You may withdraw consent at any time by simply not using the scan feature or by deleting the app.

4. Celebrity Database

The app contains a pre-built database of celebrity names, thumbnail photos, and pre-computed facial analysis data. This data is:

Sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB), a publicly available database of entertainment professionals
Stored locally within the app bundle on your device
Not modifiable by users
Used solely for the purpose of facial comparison matching

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

All subscription management and payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit framework. We:

Do not collect or store any payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.)
Do not have access to your Apple ID or App Store account details
Only receive a binary subscription status (active or inactive) from Apple's StoreKit API
Store your subscription status check locally on your device

7. Data Security

All processing occurs on-device using Apple's hardware security features
No data is transmitted over the internet during facial processing
No user data is stored on any server or cloud service
The app does not create any user accounts or databases
Temporary data in RAM is protected by iOS's memory isolation
The app uses HTTPS for any external links (privacy policy, terms of service)

8. Children's Privacy

8.1 Age Requirement

Celebalike is intended for users aged 12 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

8.2 COPPA Compliance

In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

We do not collect personal information from any users, including children
All processing is performed locally on the device
No data is transmitted to or stored on our servers
We do not use the app to market to children

8.3 Parental Rights

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has used the app in a way that concerns you, please contact us at liamsapps.suport@gmail.com. Since we do not collect or store any personal data, there is no data for us to provide or delete, but we are happy to address any concerns.

9. Your Privacy Rights

9.1 General Rights

Since we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to any server, traditional data subject rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) do not apply in the conventional sense. However, you always have the right to:

Stop using the app at any time
Delete the app which removes all local data including the celebrity database and any cached preferences
Revoke camera permissions through iOS Settings at any time
Cancel your subscription through iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions

9.2 European Economic Area (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

Right to Access: We do not store your personal data on any server. All data exists temporarily on your device only.
Right to Rectification: Not applicable as we do not maintain records of your data.
Right to Erasure: Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. No server-side data exists to delete.
Right to Restrict Processing: You can restrict processing by revoking camera/photo permissions in iOS Settings.
Right to Data Portability: Not applicable as no persistent personal data is stored.
Right to Object: You may stop using the app at any time.
Rights Related to Automated Decision Making: The app uses AI for facial matching for entertainment only. No decisions with legal or significant effects are made.

Legal Basis for Processing: Our legal basis for the temporary on-device processing of facial data is your explicit consent, which you provide by choosing to take a photo or select an image for matching.

9.3 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act:

Right to Know: We collect no personal information that is stored or transmitted. All processing is local and temporary.
Right to Delete: Delete the app to remove all local data.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell, share, or disclose any personal information to third parties.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.
Sensitive Personal Information: Facial data is processed on-device only and never collected, stored, or shared.

Sale of Personal Information: We do not sell personal information. We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months.

9.4 Illinois Residents (BIPA)

Under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act:

We generate biometric identifiers solely in temporary device memory
We do not collect, capture, store, or otherwise obtain biometric data on any server or database
We do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from biometric data
Biometric data is destroyed immediately when the scan session ends
Your consent to biometric processing is obtained when you choose to use the scan feature

9.5 Other US State Privacy Laws

We comply with applicable privacy laws in all US states, including but not limited to Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), and Texas (TDPSA). Since we do not collect, store, or transmit personal data, the data subject rights under these laws are inherently satisfied.

9.6 International Users

Celebalike is available worldwide. Since all data processing occurs locally on your device, no cross-border data transfers occur. Your data remains on your device in your jurisdiction at all times.

11. How to Delete Your Data

Since we store no data on any server, deleting the app from your device removes all data associated with Celebalike:

Press and hold the Celebalike app icon on your home screen
Tap "Remove App" or "Delete App"
Confirm deletion

To cancel your subscription before deleting:

Open iOS Settings
Tap your name (Apple ID)
Tap Subscriptions
Find Celebalike and tap Cancel Subscription

12. App Permissions

You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings > Celebalike. The app will still function but you will not be able to scan faces without granting at least one permission.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes:

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised
Material changes will be indicated in the app or app store listing
Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
